Hair Curlers on a Bald Man
Hair Curlers on a Bald Man (2026) jadi salah satu film dokumenter yang banyak diperbincangkan penonton. The exploratory film “Hair Curlers on a Bald Man” is dedicated to Georgy Frantsevich Millyar (born de Milieu), a unique figure in Soviet cinema — the actor who played “every imp, troll, and hobgoblin”, the unforgettable Baba Yaga and the allegorical Koschei in the fairy-tale films by Alexander Rou, as well as a host of other parts and walk-ons. Drawn from documents in the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Museum of Cinema, Mosfilm, the Gorky Film Studio, Gosfilmofond, the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents, and the Gelendzhik Museum of Local History, the film turns into Millyar’s own archive — a mythical territory where the actor’s life and the history of Soviet cinema assemble into a collage on memory and on a person’s place in history.
